SHOW COLUMNS displays information about the columns in a given table. 
It also works for views


Syntax:

SHOW COLUMNS FROM TableName;

SHOW COLUMNS FROM tbl_name
[LIKE 'wild']

SHOW COLUMNS FROM purchaseentry;
