Martyrs' Day to be dry day in Tamil Nadu: Govt bans sale of liquor on Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.

30/01/2019: The Tamil Nadu government has announced a ban on the sale of liquor on Wednesday in view 
of the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi which is observed as Martyrs' Day. 
This is for the first time that the state government is banning the sale of liquor on January 30, 
following orders passed by the Madurai bench of Madras high court.
